What happened
Save the Children published data showing that an average of seven children have died daily in Lebanon since March. Over six months, the organization documented at least 257 child deaths and 1,039 child injuries.
Why it matters
Violence continues despite a US-mediated ceasefire that took effect in October. A warehouse belonging to a UN partner was severely damaged, and therapeutic food supplies worth more than $770,000, intended for more than 45,000 children, pregnant women and breastfeeding women, were destroyed. A water intake and desalination unit in Deir al-Balah that provided water to more than 4,000 people were also severely damaged.
What changed
According to UNICEF, at least 300 children have been killed in Gaza since the ceasefire was declared on October 10, 2025 — an average of one child per day. Gaza's Health Ministry reported that 73,399 people have died since October 2023, and 1,265 since the ceasefire of October 10, 2025.
Who's affected
More than 348,800 people remain displaced in southern Lebanon. The aid supplies destroyed in Gaza were intended for more than 45,000 children, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir presented a plan to evict about two million Palestinians from Gaza within seven years.
