What happened

In August, production of oil, gas condensate and broad fraction of light hydrocarbons in Kazakhstan increased by 12% versus July to 8.485 million tonnes. Oil exports via CPC in August rose 22% to 6.29 million tonnes, with Kazakh oil shipments up 25% to 5.7 million tonnes and Russian volumes down 4% to 0.55 million tonnes.

Who's affected

The recovery affected the largest fields: Tengiz, Kashagan and Karachaganak increased output in August after a July decline. The rise in Kazakh crude via the CPC terminal to 5.7 million tonnes was accompanied by a slight decline in Russian volumes to 0.55 million tonnes.
