The Caspian Pipeline Consortium restored oil transportation after attacks on infrastructure. Production at Kazakhstan’s largest fields and exports via CPC also returned to growth.

What happened
In August, production of oil, gas condensate and broad fraction of light hydrocarbons in Kazakhstan increased by 12% versus July to 8.485 million tonnes. Oil exports via CPC in August rose 22% to 6.29 million tonnes, with Kazakh oil shipments up 25% to 5.7 million tonnes and Russian volumes down 4% to 0.55 million tonnes.
Who's affected
The recovery affected the largest fields: Tengiz, Kashagan and Karachaganak increased output in August after a July decline. The rise in Kazakh crude via the CPC terminal to 5.7 million tonnes was accompanied by a slight decline in Russian volumes to 0.55 million tonnes.
