Russian strikes on Ukraine: casualties in Kyiv, Izium, Pryluky and Pavlohrad

Russian forces launched a series of strikes on Ukrainian cities, hitting gas stations, warehouses and residential buildings. In Kyiv six people were wounded, in Izium three, in Pryluky three were killed. In Pavlohrad five people were killed in a strike on a shopping center.

What happened

In Kyiv, Russian drones struck gas stations in the Darnytskyi and Holosiivskyi districts, as well as warehouse premises in the Obolonskyi district. Six people were injured; at least four of the wounded were hospitalized, two in serious condition, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said. Ukraine's air defense shot down or suppressed 187 of 200 launched drones, and the Russian Defense Ministry said it had struck logistics centers and ports.

On the morning of September 14, a Russian guided aerial bomb hit Izium, Kharkiv region, wounding three people, including a two-month-old baby. The strike destroyed four private houses and damaged five houses and passenger cars. The same day, a strike on warehouse facilities of an agricultural enterprise in Pryluky, Chernihiv region, killed at least three people; seven more were wounded.

On September 5, a strike on an industrial enterprise in Kamianske killed four people and wounded five. On the night of September 12, strikes on Odesa, Zaporizhzhia and Kryvyi Rih killed at least three people and wounded at least 30; in Odesa a missile hit a multi-story residential building, injuring 17 people, including a 5-month-old child.

On the evening of September 12, a drone strike on a Nova Poshta branch in Odesa region wounded two people; the facade, glazing and a truck were damaged. On the morning of September 13, Russian drones attacked western regions of Ukraine; at least two people were injured in Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil regions. Meanwhile, on the night of September 13, Ukrainian drones attacked an industrial zone in Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan; two people were killed and 12 were wounded.

Why it matters

In Izium a two-month-old infant was wounded, and in Odesa a 5-month-old child was injured in a strike on a residential building. The strikes damaged gas stations, warehouses, residential buildings, a shopping center, a post office and industrial enterprises.

Who's affected

Residents of Kyiv, Izium, Pryluky, Pavlohrad, Kamianske, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil and Nizhnekamsk were affected. Gas stations, warehouses, residential buildings, a shopping center, a Nova Poshta branch and industrial enterprises were damaged.
