Yemen's government carried out airstrikes on Houthis in Taiz and Hodeidah
The internationally recognized Yemeni government on Friday carried out at least 15 airstrikes on Houthi positions in the western provinces of Taiz and Hodeidah. The strikes supported government forces repelling a major Houthi offensive toward the Red Sea coast and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Dozens of deaths have been reported since the fighting began.

What happened
On Thursday, the Houthis launched a wide offensive along the front line on the western coast of the Red Sea. They tried to advance and cut the road connecting Taiz with Mocha.
