Israel continues strikes on southern Lebanon despite ceasefire
Israeli forces again attacked towns in southern Lebanon, including Mansouri, Zawtar al-Sharqiyah and Kfar Tebnit. The strikes were carried out despite a ceasefire that came into force on 17 April and was extended several times. Lebanese sources report destruction and the use of phosphorus bombs.

What happened
On Wednesday morning, Israeli aircraft struck the town of Mansouri near Tyre, while artillery and drones attacked areas near Zibqin, Mifdoun and Zawtar al-Sharqiyah, causing solar panels in Mifdoun to catch fire. The strikes were carried out despite a ceasefire that came into force on 17 April and was extended several times.
Israeli military aircraft struck the towns of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah and Kfar Tebnit in Nabatieh province, while artillery shelled Mifdoun and the Zibqin Valley. The Israeli army set houses on fire in Zawtar al-Sharqiyah and used phosphorus bombs in the Saluqi Valley.

In Mifdoun, the shelling caused solar panels to catch fire, and in Zawtar al-Sharqiyah the Israeli army set houses on fire. Israeli forces also set fire to the government hospital in Mays al-Jabal, Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA) reports, and the Lebanese Ministry of Health said the hospital had previously been turned into a military barracks. UN peacekeepers are also at risk: a kamikaze drone flew over the main gate of a UN position and exploded about 550 meters away.
