On Wednesday, Israeli forces and settlers killed two 19-year-old Palestinians in al-Mughayyir: residents tried to confront the settlers, and soldiers opened fire, seriously wounding the young men, who later died. On Thursday, Israeli military bulldozers destroyed olive groves and farmland along the Arraba-Ya'bad road, beyond the red posts marking Area A, which is under Palestinian Authority control. On Friday, an Israeli guarding a group of Jewish settlers opened fire on Palestinians in Sa'ir, killing a 17-year-old Palestinian and wounding a 70-year-old man.
Why it matters
At least 79 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank since the start of 2026. The destruction in Arraba comes amid a rise in settler attacks on Palestinian land since October 2023.
What changed
It was previously reported that on Saturday, Israeli raids and settler attacks wounded at least 19 Palestinians, and the Red Crescent Society provided assistance to 11 of the injured, including four children. On July 14, settlers destroyed five greenhouses belonging to an agricultural cooperative in Burin, causing about 30,000 shekels in damage and killing 9,000 tomato seedlings. On August 13, Israeli forces ordered three families to evacuate from Qusra and converted 16 homes into military barracks.
