Parents are voluntarily standing guard outside the school all day as an additional layer of protection. This year, six people have been killed in al-Mughayyir as a result of a surge in settler-related violence, including three schoolchildren.

On Thursday, Israeli military bulldozers destroyed olive groves and farmland along the Arraba-Ya'bad road, beyond the red posts marking Area A, which is under Palestinian Authority control. Why it matters

At least 79 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank since the start of 2026. The destruction in Arraba comes amid a rise in settler attacks on Palestinian land since October 2023.

What changed

It was previously reported that on Saturday, Israeli raids and settler attacks wounded at least 19 Palestinians, and the Red Crescent Society provided assistance to 11 of the injured, including four children. On July 14, settlers destroyed five greenhouses belonging to an agricultural cooperative in Burin, causing about 30,000 shekels in damage and killing 9,000 tomato seedlings.
