SCO Leaders Condemn US and Israeli Strikes on Iran at Bishkek Summit
Leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization signed the Bishkek Declaration, condemning US and Israeli military strikes on Iran and Western sanctions. The summit was held in Bishkek on 31 August – 1 September with the participation of the heads of ten member states, including Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin and Masoud Pezeshkian.

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said that holding the World Nomad Games and the SCO summit simultaneously had deep symbolic significance. The Secretary of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan ordered strengthened anti-terrorism measures and road safety measures ahead of the summit and the Games.
What's Next
The next SCO summit is planned for Islamabad in 2027 after the transfer of the chairmanship to Pakistan.
