Kazakhstan Employers Post 102,600 Vacancies as Job Seeker Demand Declines

Kazakhstan's labor market saw 102,600 job vacancies posted on Enbek.kz in March 2026. Job seekers submitted 107,100 resumes, narrowing the gap between supply and demand. Despite this, salary expectations remain misaligned.

Labor Market Dynamics

In March 2026, employers in Kazakhstan posted 102,600 job vacancies on the Enbek.kz platform, while job seekers submitted 107,100 resumes, according to Zakon.kz. This marked a significant narrowing of the gap between job supply and demand, which was nearly 60,000 in January and reduced to 4,500 by March. The number of vacancies increased by 3.7% from February, while resumes decreased by 14.3%.

Sectoral and Regional Demand

The education sector led with 22,600 job openings, followed by other services with 21,200, as reported by Orda.kz. Healthcare and social services had 8,700 vacancies, and agriculture had 7,900. Regionally, the highest demand was in Turkestan (7,700), Karaganda (7,600), and Astana (7,200).

Salary Expectations Discrepancy

Employers offered top salaries in March for roles such as deputy head of legal departments (1.4 million tenge) and software architects (1.38 million tenge), according to Tengrinews. However, job seekers had higher salary expectations, with HR business partners seeking 4.2 million tenge and well loggers expecting 3 million tenge.

What's Next

The labor market's balance remains uncertain as salary expectations diverge. Future negotiations may address these discrepancies, but outcomes are unclear.
