The Strike
The Israeli Air Force conducted an airstrike in Tehran, resulting in the death of IRGC intelligence general Majid Khademi. The attack occurred in the early hours of April 6, according to IRGC sources. Khademi had been appointed less than a year ago, following the death of his predecessor, Mohammad Kazemi. The Israeli Defense Forces described Khademi as a key figure in gathering intelligence for Iran's leadership.
Additional Casualties
Another high-ranking IRGC officer, Asgar Bakheri, was also killed in the Israeli attack, as reported by The Times of Israel. Bakheri led the secretive Unit 840, which Tel Aviv claims was involved in international kidnappings and assassinations. Fox News previously reported Bakheri's role in recruiting agents and organizing attacks on American targets in Iraq and Syria.
